THE DERWENT WORKS
The Derwent Works will bring a group of Grade II listed buildings to life, along with a newly built apartment block to maximise the site.
The project, which will deliver 32 apartments and duplexes – 19 one & 13 two beds; 15% affordability (TBC) – is broken into three parts:
1: The Taylor & Challen building will be restored and converted into 17 new homes (55.2-121.5 sqm), four commercial units, and a new coherent rooftop extension (three apartments) with terraces.
2: To Henrietta Street, an existing five-bay workshop building will be given some love with conversion into 9 bespoke duplexes, shared workspaces, and a courtyard.
3: Maximising the site next to the workshop building will be a new infill containing 6 one-bed homes, communal studies, and workspaces, tying the new in with the old.
