338 purpose-built student accommodation, in a mixture of cluster flats and studios, are to be delivered across derelict land in the ‘Gunsmith Quarter’.
70-73 Cecil Street, derelict, and 86 Cliveland Street, a vacant building, will make way for new builds of up to 8 storeys.
The site will also include a Class E retail unit at ground level, along with 116 cycle storage and 17 motorcycle spaces.
All students will have en-suite bedrooms to choose from, including 198 clusters (14-18 sqm) with shared communal lounge facilities, and 140 studios (16-21 sqm) with their own private kitchen and en-suite.
