In brief
An Edwardian railway station in Tyseley where the Shakespeare Line and Chiltern Mainline merge, and heads towards Birmingham Snow Hill. First opened in 1906. Close to the Tyseley Locomotive Works (formerly the Birmingham Railway Museum).

Tyseley Station - history and details
The Great Western Railway opened the station in 1906, on what was their mainline from London Paddington to Birkenhead Woodside.

The station was built with four platforms, but British Rail took two platforms out of use, but they were reopened in the late 2000s.

There is a ticket office, it used to be open years ago, but it is now closed, but there is now a ticket machine on the platforms below.

Platforms 1 and 2 are now for stopping trains between Birmingham Snow Hill and Dorridge, at least one an hour in each direction.

During the week there is more frequent trains stopping at platforms 3 and 4 on the Snow Hill lines between Stratford-upon-Avon, Whitlocks End, Birmingham Snow Hill towards Worcester Foregate Street.

The station buildings on platforms 1, 2, 3 and 4 are all out of use, but volunteers now keep the station looking nice with planting flowers.
