The Cornwall Buildings is a corner building at 43 - 51 Newhall Street, and on Cornwall Street

It was built during 1898-1900 for the Birmingham Hospital Saturday Fund (a low-cost medical insurance society).

Shaped gables and two-storey canted bays. Big entrance portal with a shaped parapet and canted corners, and stylized flower sculpture.
The octagonal corner turret picks up the shaped parapet.

The round arch of its ground-floor door repeats in turn down Cornwall Street, where the far end was largely rebuilt after the Second World War.

It has been a Grade II listed building since 1982.
All Bar One has been on the ground floor of the building since at least the 2000s.

Cleaning the windows of the Cornwall Buildings
From time to time, you might see men abseiling down the building cleaning the windows of the Cornwall Buildings.
It might take several days to do both the Newhall Street and Cornwall Street sides.
