The Flapper Pub is NOT Closing!

Post image

The Flapper pub in Kingston Row behind the ICC announced that they ere closing but at the last minute the lovely landlords have been given a year lease extension. Could it be extended?, maybe apparently. We would like to make this shoutout for one of the best canalside pubs in the city & hope that the community can get together to save this Birmingham Gem permanently!

The City from Seven Miles Away

Post image

The view of the city centre skyline taken from Clent Hill on a cold but sunny February day. Clent is to the west of the city about 7 miles away, Daniel went out to capture this photo using a Canon 60D on a tripod with a 300mm lens. Always use a delayed shutter release he says, you can't touch the camera at this distance if you want it sharp! The Hagley Road cluster is in the middle, the nearly complete concrete core for Bank Tower Two on Broad Street is now looking to be the tallest from this perspective.
