The Flapper Pub is NOT Closing!

The Flapper pub in Kingston Row behind the ICC announced that they ere closing but at the last minute the lovely landlords have been given a year lease extension. Could it be extended?, maybe apparently. We would like to make this shoutout for one of the best canalside pubs in the city & hope that the community can get together to save this Birmingham Gem permanently!

Five Ways Park, an hidden Birmingham Gem

Five Ways in Edgbaston is one of the busiest roundabouts in the city but inside and largely hidden from view is a great sunken park...

The roundabout goes around and over the park, and the Hagley Road goes underneath.

Corporation Street and the Victoria Law Courts

Gas Street Basin in the Winter Sunlight

Gas Street Basin is at the heart of the 18th Century British Canal Network and is surrounded by modern development. The week that was Birmingham Gems!

Great launch of the Birmingham Gems project showcasing the 2018 charity calendar, wonderful photography and details about the National Heritage and Lottery funded renovation project at The Roundhouse.  Guests included the Lord Mayor of Birmingham and Birmingham City Council's Corporate Director for Place, Jacqui Kennedy. View the photos taken at a highly successful community event.
