Made up of three elaborately decorated, late 19th – early 20th century buildings, Chamberlain Buildings contains two grand Grade II listed properties: Coleridge Chambers & Ruskin Chambers. The other, King Edward House, is unlisted.

All three will now be revamped and converted to provide 16 clusters, 187 studios, 1 one-bed & 4 two-bedroom accommodation, from floors one to five.

Significant student amenities will take priority at basement and ground floor levels, bringing much-needed vibrancy to Corporation Street.

These include a front of house concierge, study & informal meeting areas, dining spaces, lounges, a laundry, gymnasium & two bike stores for 134 cycles.

Moving forward, all existing commercial units will be modified and a strict design code applied to enable that all shopfronts adhere to consistency in terms of window graphics, signage and design.

A financial contribution of £75,000 will also be put towards public realm improvements in the vicinity and/or to the pedestrian crossing at James Watt Queensway.
