Where is Mailbox Square?
Mailbox Square (or Mailbox Underpass) is between Royal Mail Street and Suffolk Street, next to Navigation Street. Suffolk Street, Queensway, Birmingham, B5 4EN
In brief
A public square under Suffolk Street Queensway, that serves as the approach to The Mailbox from Birmingham New Street Station via Navigation Street or Suffolk Street Queensway. It is sometimes used for City Social at Christmas time.

During the regeneration of The Mailbox
The Mailbox was refurbished during 2014-15. Around March 2014, there was red artwork in Mailbox Square.
Still open, still luxurious as we build a better Mailbox.

By the autumn of 2015, Mailbox Square by then had the familar black and white flowery artwork that is still there today.

Birmingham Made Me
During June 2012, there was a variety of cars in Mailbox Square (Mailbox Underpass) for Birmingham Made Me. Some cars were made by students of Aston University. They also had Jaguar and Land Rover cars on display. The Design Expo for Birmingham Made Me was held at Millennium Point at the time.

City Social
City Social was first held at Mailbox Square (Mailbox Underpass) in September 2017, during the Birmingham Weekender.

It returned during the November - December 2017 Christmas season, as Christmas at City Social.

City Social was also held at Mailbox Square around May 2018. There was a bus selling beers and spiritis, from Sadler's.

Chrismtas at City Social returned to Mailbox Square during the November - December 2018 Christmas season. With Christmas market huts with items for sale.

The last City Social before the Pandemic began was held during the Christmas season of November - December 2019. It would not return for two years.

After multiple lockdowns, City Social was finally able to return to Birmingham at Mailbox Square for the Christmas season of November - December 2021.
