Birmingham Health Innovation Campus, Selly Oak, Birmingham - Construction with Community

Creation of a world-leading Birmingham Health Innovation Campus (BHIC).

No. 1 BHIC (Birmingham Health and Innovation Campus) is a purpose-built 133K SF state-of-the-art specialist office and laboratory building.

Spread over eight storeys, No. 1 is the first phase of a wider 10-year masterplan that will see the entire site become a cluster of healthcare excellence.

The BREEAM ‘Excellent’ building will provide the latest laboratories, offices, and incubation and innovation facilities for life sciences. It will welcome forward-thinking businesses, drive collaboration, and will catapult the West Midlands to the forefront of the sector.

The University of Birmingham will move its Precision Health Technologies Accelerator here, and they’ll have incubator space, wet and dry labs, clean rooms, prototyping, and maker space.

Other facilities will see a ground floor café, events and meeting spaces, and a central green parkland and pond.

Phases (2-5) could see the entire site provide up to 657K SF of commercial lab and office space, creating up to 10,000 new jobs.
